1.PRODUCTION SYSTEM BY TOYOTA
This is a manufacturing system developed by TOYOTA. It
aims at eliminating all muda(waste), and at making the
production process as streamlined as possible.
Besides building quality into the production pcocess, it also
put emphasis on reducing cost. The term also means the
overall technology developed to achieve these aims.
2.Production Engineering
The sum of methods, schedules and work techniques that
will achieve the most efficiency with the given equipment,
materials and workers in the production process.
3.Aims of Production System by TOYOTA
The cost reduction (cost down) by thorough waste (muda)
elimination.
・When needed, as much as you need, what you need
・The cheaper, the better goods.
4.The basic idea of the Production System by TOYOTA
4-1.cost reduction than historical cost (cost principle)
(1)Corporate objectives
Be in harmony with the outside, while fulfilling its social
mission, to slide into pursue profit.
Profits is one of the major objectives
Pinning of profit, life of employees and corporate
survival is also guaranteed.
(2)Depreciation and profit
profit=sale price − cost … demand < supply …
cost reduction (○)
saleprice=cost + profit … demand > supply …
cost principle (×)
It’s holds is the case of seller's market
(3)The cost of change in how to make
@Struture of the cost |
|
|
AOne in stock also reduce in how to make |
|
|
4-2.Concept of waste(muda)
(1)Definition of waste(muda)
Do not generate added value in the production
site and waste, it is called a waste elements of
production to increase only cost
As for the people Movement - working = waste |
|

The work, the added value of materials and components
is increased, I have to say and work in the field of
TOYOTA, that the process proceeds.
(2)Type of waste (muda)
I have divided into seven dead in TOYOTA
@Waste(muda) of making too
AWaste(muda) of processing itself
BWaste(muda) of transportation
CWaste(muda) of stock
DWaste(muda) operation
EWaste(muda) of waiting hand
FWaste(muda) of rework and failure
5.How to proceed with the Production System by TOYOTA
5-1.Two pillars of the Production System by TOYOTA
Just - in - time
Refers to the idea that the mechanism when needed,
necessary only or production, or to transport, what
you need.
Jidoka
Such as abnormal and abnormal quality of machinery
and equipment, something abnormal you experience,
to detect the abnormality itself, I say "Jidoka" that
the line machines and equipment stops. And I have
been distinguished from the automation.
5-2.Just-in-time
(1)Basic Principles
@Flow of the process
ADecide the tact in the required number
BRiafter take-off process
(2)Prerequisite of just-in-time

Is referred to as Heijunka to be averaged overall
amount or type (which led to selling) intended to
produce.
(3)Flow of the basic principles (basic principle 1)
-1.Surface of things
@One-by-one Production
ASynchronize
BStagnation is lost
・One-by-one Production
One or one by one, step by step, processing, I say
One-by-one Production how to do that slide into the
assembly
-2.Surface of human
@Multi-process handling

|
|
-4.The small-lot production in the lot
Reduction of setup time
・Single setup, second setup.
(4)Decide the tact in the required number (Basic Principle 2)
Tact-time
Tact-time is the time it takes to produce a
component,or enough identical components, for one
vehicle.
It is figured as follows:
Tact-time=Dairy total operating time/
Required total production for the day
*Dairy total operating time is figured on the bases of all
machinery operating at 100% efficiency during reguler
working house.

It is a method to supply parts in small lots to each
step to not drop the loading efficiency, and mixed
parts, many kinds, conveying many times in small
steps.
(2)Principle of Conveyance
"Scheduled Quantity (Unscheduled time) Conveyance"
This is what post-process when using the parts for
a certain amount, in a way to go to pick up to
pre-process at the time, was based on the
consumption rather than the elapsed time.
"Scheduled time (Unscheduled Quantity) Conveyance"
This is a method for transporting the time intervals
were determined. Therefore, haul unstable in
consumption up to you. Delivery from suppliers are
taking this way.
